GUIDELINES FOR AUTHORS
Submission of a manuscript implies: that the work described has not been published before; that it is not under consideration for publication anywhere else;
that its publication has been approved by all co-authors, if any, as well as by the responsible authorities - tacitly or explicitly - at the institute where the work has been carried out.
The publisher will not be held legally responsible should there be any claims for compensation.
Publishing is not without costs. As a scientific journal from the beginning of our activity, we make every effort to raise funds for the functioning of the journal, however, there is less and less funds from year to year.
Since 2018 authors of articles are required to pay a fair handling fee for processing their articles.
However, there are no submission charges.

From 2023, the publication fee is 400 euros.
After receiving an email with the decision of paper’s acceptance, please pay the fee to the following account:

We also kindly ask you to send proof of payment and invoice details to the following address: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Manuscript should be accompanied by the authors' Statement concerning the submitted to the Acta of Bioengineering and Biomechanics Editorial Office article.
Statement should equipped with the original signatures of all co-authors.
Transfer of Copyright Agreement
In order to protect creative works of authors from plagiarism and other unlawful uses as well as to protect work and investments of the publisher in the production,
marketing and distribution of the articles written by the authors, the publisher requests a formal written transfer of copyright from the author(s) for each article published.

of the accepted for publication article is best administered by the publisher. Please complete and return this form promptly.
Authors should submit the manuscripts online. Please follow the hyperlink "Paper submission" on the right and upload all of your manuscript files following the instructions.

E. Preparation of the manuscript
F. Obtain financing
Ghostwriting and guest authorship
"Ghostwriting" and "guest authorship" is a manifestation of scientific dishonesty, and any detected cases will expose, including notification of relevant subjects
(institutions employing the authors, scientific societies, scientific associations of editors, etc.).
Please provide a structured abstract which should be divided into the following sections:
Purpose (stating the main purposes and research question),
Abstract should contains 150-250 words. Abbreviations and special characters are
Please provide 3 to 6 keywords which can be used for indexing purposes.
Manuscript should be writing in English.
Manuscripts can contain maximum 20 pages including tables, figures, references and acknowledgements.
Manuscripts should be writing in Word on A4 paper size with margins of 2.5 cm using Times New Roman font size 12 1,5-spaced.
The text of articles must be divided into sections with headers:
Introduction - state the objectives of the work and provide an adequate background, avoiding a detailed literature survey or a summary of the results.
Materials and Methods - provide sufficient detail to allow the work to be reproduced. Methods already published should be indicated by a reference: only relevant modifications should be described.
Results - should be clear and concise.
Discussion - this should explore the significance of the results of the work, not repeat them.
Conclusions - the main conclusions of the study may be presented in a short Conclusions section, which may stand alone or form a subsection of a Discussion

Citation in manuscript text:
Reference citations in the text should be identified by numbers in square brackets. Citations must be included alphabetically. Some examples:
The methods and the application of infrared spectroscopy are described in previous part .
This result was later contradicted to Adams .
The technique is considered as non-invasive -.
The list of references should only include works that are cited in the text and that have been published or accepted for publication (cited by DOI number). Footnotes or endnotes used as a substitute for a reference list is not permitted.
The entries in the list should be numbered consecutively:

Example of References list
Always use the standard abbreviation of a journal's name according to
the ISSN List of Title Word Abbreviations, see:
All tables are to be numbered using Arabic numerals.
Tables always should be cite in text by consecutive numerical order.
For each table, please supply a table caption (title) explaining the components of the table.
Identify previously published data by giving the original source in the form of a reference at the end of the table caption.
Figures must be prepared using applications capable of generating high-resolution TIFF or JPG files (600 DPI for line drawings and 300 DPI for colour and half-tone images for an average base of cm 12).
All figures must be mentioned in the text and numbered in order of appearance by Arabic numerals.
If a figure has been published elsewhere, acknowledge the original source and submit written permission from the copyright holder to reproduce the material (see Permission).
Do not embed figures in a Word file and to not submit Powerpoint (PPT) figures. Always submit each figure as a separate file.
Figures are published in black and white (on-line version is in colour).
Authors wishing to include figures, tables, or text passages that have already been published elsewhere are required to obtain permission from the copyright owner(s) for both the print and online format and to include evidence that such permission has been granted when submitting their papers. Any material received without such evidence will be assumed to originate from the authors.
Each submitted to Acta of Bioengineering and Biomechanics Editorial Office article is recorded in the articles database. Editor in Chief decides about pre-qualification for publication in the journal, assesses whether the submitted manuscript is consistent with the journal area of interest and decides on the selection of two independent reviewers from outside the scientific institution of the authors. Reviewers of the Acta of Bioengineering and Biomechanics are specialists in the scientific area to which concern the submitted paper.
Reviewers can undertake four decisions on the submitted work:
Accept without amendments
Take after minor corrections
Re-evaluate after major revision
After receiving two compatible reviews, Editor in Chief prepares substantive review of manuscript done on the basis of the opinion of two reviewers and sends it to the Corresponding Author in the form of an editorial letter. In case of conflicting reviews, Editor in Chief appoints a third reviewer, whose decision is binding.
